First founded in 2018, Great Oaks Painting’s goal was to spread knowledge of healthy and sustainable home projects. Having sensitivities to chemicals herself, Kim, the owner, wanted to prioritize healthy products for not only herself but her clients. In 2021 Kim trained with Hempitecture to learn natural building with hempcrete and in 2022 trained with Americhanvre for spray application. She then studied with Tim White to learn about natural plasters and became familiar with natural paints for the home. All of these aspects create a healthy envelope to maintain the environment we live in. Understanding materials is necessary to know how to properly treat them. Great Oaks Painting and Fiberfort prioritize detail, aesthetics and functionality to the home.
